In 2006, Brad founded the Make It Right Foundation, organizing housing professionals in New Orleans to finance and construct 150 sustainable, affordable and energy-efficient new houses in New Orleans’s Ninth Ward following the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. The project involves 13 architectural firms and the environmental organization “Global Green USA”, with several of the firms donating their services. Pitt and philanthropist Steve Bing have each committed $5 million in donations. via

Mr. Pitt’s home in the Hollywood Hills, designed by him (in collaboration with architecture firm GRAFT) was featured in the cover story of the July 2006 issue of Elle Decoration Magazine.
“The most important thing I learned with this house is you have to let go of a lot of great ideas for the sake of harmony… I love that architecture is this huge art piece you can be inside.  I believe it lifts your soul and affects your mindset” says Brad. Photographs: cubemejustjared

It was announced, in 2008, that the star been named to design a brand-new environmentally friendly green hotel and resort in Dubai, in collaboration with the Los Angeles-based architecture firm GRAFT. Here is a 3D model of their project. Photographs: GRAFT

  1. I did know that actually, I found out back in 2006 when the New Orleans stuff happened… I’m not surprised, he’s one of my Favorite Actors, has been for years… Makes sense to me that he’d have Passions elsewhere.

    Nice Post Nadia
